Dear readers,
the team behind this blog, wishes to send this message to you:
Merry Christmas!!! I hope you have a lovely Christmas! Today at the Christmas eve service, our minister shared his favourite christmas verse, which is now mine, too:
“The grace of our God was poured out on me abundently, along with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus. Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I’m the worst” 1 Timothy 1:14-15
This verse just shows so much! Firstly, that Jesus game to our earth to fix the problem caused by us: sin. God gave us what we don’t deserve (grace) and helps us trust him (faith) and love him and others (love).
Also, may this post bear the mark of my first ever
Song of the season
(in other words, a segment, where I get to share a song that has been near and dear to my heart lately).
Oh come, Oh come, Emmanuel, performed by the Franz family
A fanstastic theological song, with a great melody. I particularly love this rendition of it, as it’s a bit urgent (which if you overthink things, could be shown as our desperate need for forgiveness by Christ, so we do need Emmanuel to come urgently), but if you’d like a bit of a slower version, I reccomend the performance by the Petersens.
Anyway, have a very merry Christmas!
